Mechanism for Generational Wisdom Transmission

I’ve been thinking a lot lately especially since my last post about how wisdom often comes with age and I’ve been thinking about the last statement in that post about what a shame it is that that wisdom has to be lost at the end of the person’s life in most cases. What could be done in order to leave a legacy. In order to leave behind some of that wisdom so that future generations might benefit?
I suppose it’s been done for generations, we record it in one fashion or another those things that are important to us . We went we write or when we paint or when we sing and use any medium that could be reflected after our demise. There may be a different mechanism at work that we are not even aware of that will allow us to leave that wisdom with others of succeeding generations through our interactions with those around us. Almost as if it were a virus it is transmitted from one person to the next. That wisdom gets transferred in the same way through exposure to one another. (continue reading…)
